Sports Education & Coaching Intern

The Sports Education & Coaching Internship is designed for students who are interested in developing and delivering youth sports curriculums. Students will gain knowledge and experience in writing and editing age-appropriate coaching plans, delivering coaching sessions, assisting with employee training, and more. This position is ideal for students wanting to aspire towards paid coaching positions and physical education instructors.

Successful completion of the Sports Education & Coaching Internship can lead to a paid full- or part-time coaching position.


Include, but are not limited to:
Work alongside experienced, professional coaches, observing live practical sessions with actual groups of children, something that is often missing from instructional coaching courses
Receive instruction and guidance on coaching best practices, strategies, and methods
Work with the education coordinator to develop, write, and edit youth sports curriculum
Conduct and lead age-appropriate drills, scrimmages, and technical training sessions for children ranging in age from 2-19
Complete USA Sport Group’s complete “Safe Kids” seminar and other development sessions
Assist at coach training and orientation events


A love and passion for working with children of all ages in a sports setting
A solid understanding of the rules associated with various sports
Experience working with or coaching young children
Excellent time management skills
Ability to deliver company philosophy and uphold customer service standards

Additional Information

Reliable transportation is a requirement for this position. Travel required 25%-50% of time.
