Finance Internship

The Finance Internship is designed for students with a passion and interest in finance. As a part of the Finance department, students will be able to expand their knowledge of office accounting, such as bookkeeping with a focus in Accounts Payable and Receivables. This program will provide students with the tools to feel confident using QuickBooks, and expand their knowledge on the software and tools used within a finance department.


Include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in creating invoices and entering bills within QuickBooks
Using excel for accounting and data management for invoicing recreation departments
Expense tracking and reporting using Excel and QuickBooks
Importing bank feeds into QuickBooks and keeping account records up to date
Helping track expenses and cash flow projections
Taking on administrative projects related to peak season and staffing
Financial and other ad hoc reporting projects


In addition to the qualifications listed on the Internship Homepage, applicants should possess the following qualifications:
A strong understanding of Excel and a need to learn QuickBooks
Highly organized, and focused on detail
Can multitask well in a fast paced environment
Maintains a professional demeanor
Has well developed communication skills
Is a problem solver
Works well with others

Additional Information

The student must be able to commit to Friday hours
